Common skin conditions
We treat all acne types with an individualized approach to determine treatment, often utilizing traditional medications such as topical medications, skin care products, and oral medications such as antibiotics, Aldactone, and Accutane.
One of our top concerns at Pure Skin and Wellness is skin cancer prevention and detection. Thorough exams are completed to monitor for the three main types of skin cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma. A skin biopsy will be performed to identify cancer type and proper treatment plan. Some cases may require referral for proper treatment and excision.
Acute and chronic rashes can be frustrating and bothersome to patients. Individualized discussion and examination are often successful at determining the cause and best course of treatment. Often rashes are treated with topical medications and oral medications.
Plaque psoriasis is the most common type of psoriasis, often resulting in patches of skin that are raised or thickened most commonly located on the elbows, knees, and scalp. This requires a thorough examination to detect type and treatment.
This is a chronic condition known for causing itchy, dry and inflamed skin often occurring in infancy or childhood. It is often managed with a combination of lifestyle changes, home remedies, and topical medications.
Monitoring moles and signs of atypia is a high priority and requires a thorough examination. Suspicious moles can easily be tested and evaluated by a dermatopathologist to determine proper treatment. Referral may be needed for treatment and possible excision.
A contagious skin condition that causes fleshy pink bumps that may spread easily. It is common in children and teens, especially in those playing sports. It is often treated by triggering the body to repair and heal the lesions through gentle curettage or cryotherapy.
These are precancerous lesions that are often found on the face, ears, scalp, neck and hands due to sun exposure. Upon examination these lesions are often detected by their rough sandpaper-like characteristics. They are treated with cryotherapy or in more severe cases a topical chemo cream.

Monthly Accutane Visit

For patients that are currently taking Accutane in order to fulfill monthly compliance, adjust medication dosage, and discuss laboratory results. - 15-20min.
Medicare

For Medicare patients needing a full body examination, including any concerning skin lesions. Must pay out of pocket for exam, may submit to Medicare for reimbursement. 45 min.
Additional Charges
$45-90
Additional charge for destruction of benign lesions such as seborrheic keratosis, skin tag removal and lesional injections. Cost will be discussed prior to treatment, depending on quantity.
